Gómez is making his second Championship start in 2026. His T-3 performance in his Latin America Amateur debut last year in Argentina was highlighted by closing rounds of 65-68. Also in 2025, he won a World Amateur Golf Ranking event in Mexico, represented his country in the Eisenhower Trophy in Singapore and competed in the PGA Tour’s Mexico Open and The Amateur Championship in England. In 2024, he won the Mexican Amateur and finished runner-up in the South American Amateur in Colombia.
