Esteve is making his ninth Championship start. He has finished inside the top 10 in two of the past three years, finishing T-9 in 2022 in the Dominican Republic and eighth in 2023 in Puerto Rico. Also in 2023, he won the George L. Coleman Invitational at Seminole Golf Club in Florida and reached the Round of 32 in the U.S. Mid-Amateur at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in New York. He represented Puerto Rico in the 2022 Eisenhower Trophy in France.
