Calderón is making his first Championship start. In 2024, he won four World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Guatemala, finished fourth in the Central American Junior Championship in Honduras and competed in the R&A Junior Open in Scotland. In September 2023, he won an event in Guatemala to earn his first World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
