Restrepo is making his second Championship start in 2026. On January 6, he won the Junior Orange Bowl in Florida by three strokes after finishing third a year ago. In 2025, he won the South American Junior Championship in Paraguay and shared medalist honors in the Toyota Junior World Cup in Japan with 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur runner-up Taisei Nagasaki. He also reached the round of 32 in the U.S. Junior Amateur in Texas and represented his country in the Eisenhower Trophy in Singapore last year.
