Cabrera is making his fourth Championship start. In 2024, he won a World Amateur Golf Ranking event in Paraguay and finished T-6 in the Chilean Junior Championship. In 2023, he won events in Paraguay and Brazil and reached the semifinals of the Paraguayan National Match Play. His uncle is four-time PGA Tour winner and two-time International Presidents Cup team member Carlos Franco.
