Ordoñez is making his 11th Championship start in 2026. He has competed in each edition of the Latin America Amateur. In 2025, he had seven top-10 finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking events. He finished runner-up in the Panama City Classic and reached the round of 16 in the Crump Cup Memorial Tournament at Pine Valley in New Jersey. He has represented Panama in the Eisenhower Trophy three times, most recently in October in Singapore.
